The Lore of the Coveted Moccasins ⚔️⚔️⚔️
There are trophies. There are medals. There are records.
And then there are the Moccasins.
Their origins are humble. Their prestige is not.
In 2023, it was decreed that the coveted Moccasins would be put on the line. But possession meant far more than a comfortable pair of slippers.
He who holds the Moccasins holds the Master Bedroom.
He who holds the Moccasins wears the Fur Bathrobe.
He who holds the Moccasins holds the glory.
At Viking Cup 2023, chonklifts and Mike Jones met in the first great battle for ownership.
The contest came down to the deadlift.
Sean called 290kg for his second attempt.
He missed.
With the Moccasins slipping from his grasp, retreat was not an option. He loaded 295kg for his third.
Five more kilos. One final pull.
Good lift.
By just 2.5kg on total, Sean defeated Mike and became the first champion of the Moccasins.
The Master Bedroom was his.
The Fur Bathrobe was his.
The Moccasins were firmly wrapped around his cloven hooves.
The reclamation:
One year later, at Viking Cup 2024, the Moccasins were once again placed on the line.
Sean returned as defending holder.
Mike returned for what had been taken from him.
This time, the battle ended differently.
Mike claimed the Moccasins.
And from that day until now, they have remained at his bedside.
The Master Bedroom.
The Bathrobe.
The Respect.
All defended.
A New Challenge:
Now, once again, the time has come.
But there will be no true head to head battle this weekend.
Mike has already entered the arena.
In April, he reset the bar.
So Sean does not simply need to win a competition.
He must chase down a number already carved into annals of history.
To reclaim what was once his, Sean must add at least 28kg to his competition PB total.
Twenty eight kilograms stand between him and the Master Bedroom.
Twenty eight kilograms stand between him and the Fur Bathrobe.
Twenty eight kilograms stand between him and the most prestigious footwear in powerlifting.
Sean is not defending them anymore.
He is coming to steal them back.
And Mike?
Mike is waiting.
