What a way to finish the 2026 competition season for our WAG gymnasts! 🤸♀️
Our Step 1–4 gymnasts wrapped up their final competition at the Midlands Championships in Hamilton, and we couldn’t be prouder of every single one of them.
Behind every score, medal and competition routine is hours and hours of training, hard mahi, repetition, determination and plenty of things that don’t always go right the first time! These girls have worked incredibly hard throughout the season, continually challenging themselves, learning new skills and building their confidence. We’ve seen so much growth across the team, and it has been awesome to watch them develop throughout the year.
A huge congratulations to all of our gymnasts, whether you finished on the podium, achieved a personal best, nailed a new skill or simply gave it everything you had. Every bit of progress counts, and you should all be incredibly proud of what you have achieved this season.
A massive thank you to our parents and whānau for everything you do behind the scenes, the early mornings, late nights, training runs, competition days, costumes, hair, food, nerves and, of course, all the travelling! We’ve travelled all over the country this season and your support has made it all possible. We couldn’t do it without you.
And an enormous thank you to Coach Kirsty Smits for your incredible dedication to these girls. The time, energy, patience and commitment you put into coaching them week after week does not go unnoticed. Thank you for pushing them to be better, celebrating their successes, supporting them through the tough days and helping them believe in what they can achieve.
To our gymnasts, what a season! You have worked hard, supported each other and continued to grow. Enjoy a well-earned break and take a moment to look back at just how far you’ve come.
We are incredibly proud of you all. What a way to finish the year! 🧡🤸♀️
