Kia Ora, Feed Your Fuel has been around for over 6 years, and there’s a bunch of new followers, so I better introduce myself again!
My name is Cati Pearson, I am 32year’s old, born & bred in Rotorua. I currently spend my time between Rotorua where I work most days, and Taupo where I live with my Partner.
I am a Dietitian with 10 years’ experience across clinical hospital work, community initiatives, and private practice. I have a Master’s degree in Dietetics from Otago University, Diploma in High Performance Sport from the Otago Polytechnic, and did Sports Dietitian training with the Australian Institute of Sport.
My Dietetic passion lies with bowel heath (irritable bowel disease/syndrome, diverticulitis, FODMAPs, dysbiosis and post-surgical health) and sports nutrition. However, I work lots in the women’s health, long term lifestyle changes and weight management areas as well. I have worked with many sports teams – Cycling NZ MTB Hub, Yeti Race Team, Sweat 7 Triathlon Club, Lakes City Athletics Club, RATS triathlon club.
Personally I have competed in high level endurance sport for years. Racing internationally at the Enduro World Series (MTB), Rarotonga Road Race (road running), and the World Sprint Triathlon Champs. I have also competed nationally in many downhill mountain biking, bike packing, multisport, running and open water swimming.
I love all aspects on nutrition and improving people’s life with food. Whether it’s helping someone feel better in their body, improving bloating and gas so people feel more comfortable in public, and getting athletes racing at the best of their ability!
