Got a pair of Womens HokaOneOne Bondi's Ex Demo size 9.5 going cheap.
The details behind my progression in running:
How it started: Pre 2019: 3.5hours average throughout the year per week. 2019 = 5.30, 2020 / 2021: 6.14.
I’ve been sponsored by HOKA since 2019, the range of shoes available, and support I receive has been a huge part of achieving run consistency.
Alongside (+more):
👉🏻 Rest and recovery (maximising between sessions, no alarm days where possible for max 😴).
👉🏻 Run load management in training (consistent loading helps me, no sharp increases).
👉🏻 S&C (primarily heavy lifting throughout winter, although I’ve been terrible since the season started 🧐).
👉🏻 Mixed terrain running.
👉🏻 Track history (400/800m) in younger days (plyometric and underpinning run tech).
👉🏻 Easy easy (5min k and slower - a lot slower in our trails!).
👉🏻 Fun / adapt sessions to train with others.
👉🏻 I often have my best thoughts running - no gadgets. Freedom.
👉🏻 Clarity on what you’re working towards. Consistency by number for you. Ie if your goal is 3hours a week, aim to do consistently.
👉🏻 Periods, understand your cycle (I lost mine for two months this summer, I addressed the stress and they came back).
For me (everyone is different), this has helped enabled my run to become a strength, rather feeling vulnerable coming off the bike. And has taken heaps of years (like 20!!) to progress to where I am now. Sometimes we can feel we do all the right things, and still have setbacks. So that’s why it’s important to celebrate the small wins when it is going okay ❤️.
These new Bondi X have become a staple run mileage shoe. Weighing 300g, with the softest HOKA foam to date. For every runner, looking for that extra spring in their step. Maximum cushioning with a lush carbon fibre plate. This shoe is for everyone no matter what your goals are ❤️
