Well a great Sundays racing at Hampton Downs.
Alan drove the Team Lowndes Racing 888 Pulsar to the limit.
The weather was forecast to be terrible for race day, but turned out to be gorgeous.
Qualifying on a greasy but drying track Alan managed to qualify 3rd.
So starting P3 on the grid and after some place movements managed to finish 1st in class and 3rd overall so podium time!

Race 2, this was a delayed handicap start and starting from 22 on the grid. After some amazing battles and some cars going off track or having contact Alan managed to get through most of the field and finish again 1st in class and 3rd overall, another podium.

Thanks to all Racers, helpers, followers and spectators. Such a great group of people.

Team Lowndes Racing 888 is on the way to Hampton Downs Motorsport Park.

Forecast says “wet and spicy,” which sounds less like racing conditions and more like a questionable life choice… basically a free car wash with added fear.

Wet tyres are on, anti-fog is fighting for its life, and the drivers? White knuckles, trust issues, and gripping the wheel like it owes them money.

🔥 THIS WEEKEND IS GOING TO BE EPIC AT HAMPTON DOWNS! 🔥

Alan from the legendary Team Lowndes Racing 888 is jumping behind the wheel for 24 Red Racing, piloting the screaming 24 Red Racing Honda DC2 in the ultra-competitive GT4 class!

The action kicks off Saturday with heart-pounding Practice, Qualifying, and Race 1, followed by the nail-biting Race 2 and Race 3 on Sunday. These are lightning-fast 6-lap sprint battles on the world-famous 4km Hampton Downs International circuit – every corner, every overtake counts!

You’ll be rubbing shoulders with some of the BIGGEST names in motorsport and watching absolute monster machines tear up the track. The grid is stacked, the competition is fierce, and the racing is going to be INSANE!

Get ready for OK Cup – Round 4, Season 3, where it’s all on the line: blistering pace, tight door-to-door battles, and a fierce showdown as Team Torque hunts down the 1-point lead held by the ever-cocky Team Double Ds.

On Sunday, Alan took on Round 3 of the OK Cup at Taupō, and let’s just say, things got spicy.

Qualified 7th, got into some wild on-track scraps, and even dodged a car that decided to try out its new career as a wrecking ball. Through all that chaos, Alan somehow wrangled it home for a 3rd place podium finish. Not bad for a bloke who treats corners like suggestions 😏.

Race 2:
Started 23rd on the grid with a 50-second handicap (because apparently he needed a challenge). Proceeded to weave through the chaos like a man late for happy hour — and landed 4th, with class wins in both races. The guy’s basically allergic to not being on the podium.

Huge shoutout to the pit crew / hype team — Alicia, Conor, and Izzy — for the top-tier support, snacks, and extreme, never ending sarcasm.

And of course props to fellow teammates Dave and Bruce for keeping the laughs rolling all weekend.

Ladies and gentlemen, buckle up – Team Lowndes Racing 888 is rolling into Hampton Downs for Round 2 of the OK Cup!
Last time out, Alan Lowndes and the Green Eye Critter had the crowd on their feet – starting 5th on the grid, sliding through the wet sweeper, a full spin, but somehow clawing it back to finish 5th overall and 1st in class. What a recovery drive!
But the drama wasn’t done – when the flag dropped for Race 2, the engine mount said ‘no thanks’, forcing Alan to limp back to the pits and load up early. That was then. This is now.
🔥 This Saturday, October 5th, the 888 Pulsar is back – locked, loaded, and hungry for redemption. Hampton Downs is set to roar as Alan puts the hammer down, chasing glory in Round 2 of the OK Cup.
So grab a hot dog, feel the thunder, and don’t blink – because when the lights go out, Team Lowndes Racing 888 is all gas, no brakes!

Buckle up, motorsport fans! Tomorrow, Alan Lowndes is back behind the wheel of the roaring 888 Pulsar at Taupo Motorsport Park for Round 2 of the epic Taupo Winter Series!

💥 Last Round Recap:
Race 1: Started 8th, spun out in icy conditions — but fought back like a beast to finish 8th!
Race 2: Charged through the field for a P2 finish!
Race 3: Locked in a solid P3 podium!

The pace is there, the car is dialled in, and Team Lowndes Racing is ready to bring the heat 🔥

Can Alan climb the podium again? The pressure’s on, but you can bet the 888 will be pushing hard all the way!

Team Lowndes Racing 888 attended the OK Cup end of season prize giving.
After a relativity dream season with the only major issue of the year being a gearbox rebuild needed after a limp to the end in one race and a DNS in the second and lots of PBs at all tracks can announce....
A great end of year result with some amazingly close racing, some hairy moments and fantastic battles with competitors in all classes some amazing results in awards we didn't know existed.
Thank you so much to all racers and crew, all spectators and support crew, all sponsors and of course family for putting up with nights in the garage and time away.
Also we can't forget the organisers of the OK Cup series who without we would struggle to find such a great series.
