A HUGE thank you to Wayne from IronmanTaupo and Noel from the Taupo Harrier Club!

We’d like to say a massive thank you to Wayne from Ironman and Noel from the Taupō Harriers Club for the fantastic Ironman bags that were given to KiwiSport for us to distribute to the students representing Taupō at the Aims Games last week.
It was such a generous gesture and a great way to recognise and support our young athletes as they represented our district.
These little touches make such a difference and help our tamariki feel proud to be representing Taupō.
Thank you for getting behind our young people and supporting sport in our community….we really appreciate it!

🏉☀️ RIPPA RUGBY IN TŪRANGI! ☀️🏉

What an awesome day we had in Tūrangi for our Rippa Rugby Tournament!

The weather was absolutely stunning, making for the perfect day for Rippa Rugby!

It was fantastic to see so many tamariki out on the field, giving it a go, supporting their teammates and enjoying being active with their friends.

A huge thank you to King Country Rugby for organising such a fantastic tournament, with the support of KiwiSport. We love being able to work alongside our sporting partners to create more opportunities for tamariki across the district to get involved and enjoy sport.

A massive thank you also to all the schools, teachers, coaches, whānau and volunteers who helped make the day such a success. 👏

And to all our young Rippa stars.....you were awesome! 🔥🏉

Rippa Rugby is underway! 🏉

Our Rippa Rugby taster sessions have kicked off in schools, with plenty of running, ripping and most importantly....FUN! Look at some of the photos below from a taster session at Wairakei Primary School

These sessions are all about giving students the chance to try Rippa Rugby, build their skills and get excited for the 3 tournaments that will take place at the end of the term.

We’re looking forward to seeing plenty of teams hit the field and put those new skills to the test! Bring on the tournaments!
