💚 Honouring the Legacy of Kyra Leatuafi
This year, we proudly acknowledge and honour Kyra Leatuafi for her role in the joint re-establishment of the Taumarunui Amateur Athletics Club back in 2012.
Athletics was one of Kyra’s favourite sports, and she poured many hours into supporting and growing our club. Naming this trophy in her honour is a fitting tribute to her aroha, leadership, and dedication.
Thank you to Tui for being present to award this special taonga.
The trophy itself is crafted from locally sourced native timber and created by local hands, an enduring tribute to the matriarch of our athletics club.

Once again, thank you to everyone who has supported TAAC this season, whether volunteering, helping at the BBQ, or bringing your children along to participate.

The weather may not be looking the best for tonight, but we want to ensure we can finish the season off for our Year 3–8 tamariki.
If tonight is called off, we will try again next Wednesday, 10th December.
A final decision will be made at 4pm today on whether to cancel. No post will mean we are still going ahead.
No BBQ tonight.

Please ensure your child is registered for athletics. I have updated all registrations and printed off sheets for tonight. If they are not on the list, they have not been registered and will not receive a recording against their name.

We help people reach their potential, with sport being the vehicle to help improve wellness and promote positive changes for individuals.

NO ATHLETICS TONIGHT

Session #1 Tiny Tots cancelled due to weather.
We will endeavour to have all competition measuring done next week so please plan to be there from 4pm until 5.30pm.

Session #2 will make the call at 4pm if we go ahead tonight.

Gosh this rain just won’t give us a break this season! 🤦🏽‍♀️🌧️
We will see how things look and make the call later this afternoon (around 3pm-ish).

We really need to get competition recording done, will consider adding a week on if needed.
