Cory Hotene training

Cory Hotene training My name is Cory Hotene, I am studying to become a personal trainer at fit college and hope to become employed in the fitness industry training others.

I have a background in boxing, wing chun, and rugby laegue so I've been active most of my training youth.Unofficially I trained youth at a gym in Enderley, Fairfield, Hamilton. My mission was to change the mindset of youth that fell victim to gangs, crime and violence. By teaching them to get the body right, they soon realised they had already won half the battle they were fighting in the hood. Al

l the discipline instilled them set them up to free their minds and escape the clutches of poverty. Now here in Taumarunui, a similar situation has put forth another challenge for me and its promising youth. With the help and guidance of Fit College and the advanced cert in personal training (as soon as I graduate) I hope to be more effective and do it professionally.

Researching The New Zealand Nutrition Foundation I found that not only do they scrutinise and test our food. Their role is to provide information about the nutritional value enabling us kiwis to make informed decisions about what we eat. Not all of us have a lab at home where we can break down the pros and cons of our food apart from how it tastes. Fortunately, we don't have to. I have every confidence that us kiwis can rely on their expert opinion when unsure about what's in our food. Let’s get food conscious and use this resource to better our lives.
