Hey, sorry to burst the bubble but Tutaekuri section from John's Rd to Awatoto is still CLOSED. You could go to Brookfields bridge and ride the road to the winery or Meeanee but please do not go past Brookfields bridge. This section will be fixed in New Year. It's too dangerous to cross with all the road work's, soon but not yet. We still have to work with NZTA and KiwiRail (takes time and $$) , starting Jan and hopefully April open. However you can ride all of Ngaruroro and Tukituki loop is fully open. Beware they are not fully finished, soft in places but looking resplendent in summer colours. Take care, stay safe, keep left and smiling. Merry Christmas 🎄 and love your ride's. Seasons greetings from Vicki x

Saturday Pathway Bike Ride 18th March
Destination: Crosses Cafe, Havelock North for ☕️🍰

Meeting Places
Normally I would post 1 meeting place which for Saturday's bike ride This week it would've been Pakowhai Dog Park. Sadly because of all the damage caused by Cyclone Gabrielle this is not possible. Most of our regular meeting places are closed to cars so I've added a few different meeting places and times.

1) Meet 8.50am at Marewa shops by pathway corner Kennedy Rd & George's Drive. The side by the toilets. If coming by car via Kennedy Rd turn right into Douglas Maclean. Just on your left by the creek opposite the shops there's a carparking area.

2) 9.10/9.15am at carpark nearest Awatoto - The carpark is situated at the State Highway 51 end of Awatoto Rd, just to the right.

3) 9.30am Waitangi Park near the bridge. The carpark will mostly likely be closed.

4) 9.45am Clive River carpark by the picnic table near the toilets.

5) 10.30am Ruahapia Rd by the cycle path bridge. Instead of footpath to Pakowhai Dog Park entrance.

Come along and enjoy a non-competitive ride in friendly company and where no-one is left behind.
New bikers - PM here to let me know if you're coming no later than 8am Saturday.
Regular bikers - You have my details.

Yesturday I sent oit an email to the Saturday Pathway Bikers with some options for tomorrows bike ride. To anyone new who wants to come along reply below with where you want to meet or PM me here.

The aim of this bike ride is to make it as safe and carlesss as possible so I've added a number of meeting places and times.

We in Napier have missed our fellow bikers from Hastings & Havelock North. To reunite again meet at Waitangi Park Carpark at 9.30am for a ride to Hygge at Clifton. Only if you can and it's safe.
If anyone wants to meet at Clive 9.40/9.45am by toilets. Take care when biking on the pathway at Whakatu. A couple days ago I saw on a Facebook post that there had been a slip by the Clive River.
Carpark at Blackbridge on the Haumoana side of bridge 10.15/10.20am

I'm going to add another meeting place for those coming from Napier/Taradale.
Meet 8.45am at Marewa by pathway corner Kennedy Rd & George's Drive. The side by the toilets. If coming by car via Kennedy Rd turn right into Douglas Maclean. Just on your left by the creek opposite the shops there's a carparking area.
