Golden Bay Swimming Club is looking for more volunteer senior coaches to join our club and help teach our youth swimming skills. In particular we are looking for coaches who have swim coaching experience, or senior level swimmers who won’t require much training.

Wow the Tata Beach Swim was a huge success! We had 133 entrants and the event went really well.

We would like to acknowledge the support from the Nelson Tri Club, Harbour Master, Golden Bay Kayaks, St John and all our other helpers.

Congratulations to our GB Swim Club swimmers:
Bonnie, Mazzy, Chloe, Zara, Sophia. Well done!

Congratulations also to our connected swim clubbies: Liam, Stella, Katrina, Jo, Elizabeth, Catherine and Shelly.

We hope you all enjoyed the event and hope to see even more participants next year.

Hi Swimmers

It's that time of year and the Tata swim is coming around again. This summer it's on Sunday the 4th of January. For those of you wanting to compete in the swim now is the time to get out there training for it. See the attached poster for details and head to the Tri clubs website to enter.

For our junior swimmers check with your coach whether this event is suitable for you.

Want to be involved but not so keen on competing? Then your help will be very welcome, those competing can still help before or after the event.

We need help in the following areas:
1. Setting up
2. During the event
3. Packing away. You can still compete if you volunteer to help.
4. Safety Kayak - Golden Bay Kayaks are organising the safety kayaking so if you would like to be involved in this I will pass your details on to them.

Please email [email protected] to let us know if you can help out on the day and we look forward to seeing lots of you out there in the water or helping out.
