A few years ago, generous Tata Beach residents helped provide some "affordable housing" for our little blue penguins (kōrora). Every nest box has since been occupied.
Over the past month, the Golden Bay and Tata Beach communities, along with supporters from around New Zealand, have again shown their support for a special little corner of Tata Beach. An incredible 635 submissions were received on the future of 29 Cornwall Place.
A big thank you to everyone who took the time to have their say and help protect this special place.

The Kōrora or Little Penguin are busy on all of our beaches in Golden Bay at the moment , renovating nests for this coming season. If you see these tracks it means that there are penguins living in the area....
