It always makes me happy to meet couples creating time together for an adventure honeymoon away from work and children. Hayden and Gemma Wolfe got it sorted, and rode off into the clouds together.

Bria and Sam started their ride at Roller Coaster and found it hard to keep track of the track through the beech forest to the carpark. Thoroughly enjoyed the rest of the ride down the Rameka tho!

It was great to meet Megan and Dave Blakeney from Auckland, who made the most of their visit to Canaan Downs from Takaka.. first a swing down the Pikikirunga track, a walk to Harwood's Hole, a bit of a Canaan loop ride then off down the Rameka back to Takaka. Big day! Just one of many for them tho!

Consider a side-ride on the new Pikikirunga Track, while enroute to Canaan/start of Rameka, $20 (neg) extra per vehicle. Stage 1 of this overall epic project is complete - a 3km section running Northwest from the Takaka Hill Saddle (Golden Bay side) and finishing 300m west of the highway. The route passes through the Takaka Hill Scenic Reserve, managed by DoC (who granted permission in 2020)

Take the easy way up.
We go in your vehicle from Takaka to Canaan Downs - the top of the awesome Rameka tracks. You offload your bike & gear, I then drive it back down to Takaka for you to pickup from a spot we arrange.
Simple.
$80 for 1-2 people, $100 for 3-4

Gearing up for another Summer, we have 3 Golden Bay drivers available to make sure your ride happens when you want it.
Our service is currently only available from Takaka to Canaan Downs/ top of the track. If you have any ideas how to accommodate people coming from Nelson to ride the Rameka let us know (because otherwise you will have to pick your driver up in Takaka first), but i encourage you to come and enjoy a few days and other rides in Golden Bay.
We have some flexibility in pricing for just one person riding, especially local folkles... you may as well ask :) 🚵‍♂️
