It’s been a rather busy few weeks around here with a lot of horses in work, plus the babies beginning their education. Here is Cash today having his 3rd ride and first trot.

It was exciting to sit on Cash for the first time today. Very rewarding to have a response like this, especially when he is very sensitive and reactive. It puts a smile on your face when babies you work with have confidence, understanding and trust 🥰

Comet had a busy morning helping educate the young horses that are in for starting. Here are a couple of them (Cash and Moose) this morning.

What a super week at our favourite show of the season. Very proud of my team of 4 bring home 9 ribbons throughout the show.

Thank you so much to the support of my team for going above and beyond for me and the horses all week, you all worked so hard and I couldn’t do any of it with out you. I went down hill quickly with a migraine on Saturday and wasn’t able to start in 2 of my horses finals on Sunday, which was disappointing. I had lots of support and help to get me through the day until the Gold Tour Final which I was determined to start in. Some how my special partner Dolcé carted me around for a double clear to finish 🥈. Incredibly greatful for the partnership we have ❤️

My team felt and looked great thank you to our super sponsors, groom Laura Fergusson and coach Lisa Coupe NZ Equestrian Coaching & Training

Mouse (Aspen Park Silver Strike) looking good today training down a pretty big line with Lisa Coupe NZ Equestrian Coaching & Training. A couple of ugly 1.40 oxers and 1.50 upright. She’s a very young 7yo with her actual birthday not until after our season finishes. She has a bright future ahead of her.

An unusual summer — some regions exceptionally wet, others hot and dry — combined with frequent travel = a much higher risk of digestive disruption. 🌧️☀️

This season has been anything but consistent. In wetter areas, pasture fibre and sugar levels have fluctuated significantly, while in hotter, drier regions pasture quality has dropped and hydration demands have increased. Add in regular inter-island travel for the World Cup series, and gut health and digestive stability become absolutely critical.

When horses are on the road, their routine changes constantly — different hay, different water, different turnout and climate conditions — all of which increase stress on the digestive system. These factors can quickly impact:
❌ hindgut fermentation stability
❌ microbiome balance
❌ manure consistency
❌ hydration and energy availability

That’s why Fiber Fresh has been such a valuable addition to our program. It provides a consistent, high-quality fibre source that supports gut function and helps maintain a stable digestive environment, regardless of whether we’re dealing with wet, humid conditions or hot, dry climates.

The benefits we’ve noticed during this unpredictable summer and heavy travel schedule include:

✔️ Improved hindgut buffering
✔️ More consistent manure and reduced digestive upset
✔️ Better hydration support during hotter conditions
✔️ More reliable energy release from fermentation (instead of sugar spikes)
✔️ Enhanced recovery time between rounds

For my horses competing at the top of their game, the demands are high and the expectation to recover quickly and perform repeatedly is non-negotiable. Consistent fibre intake is essential to keep the gut functioning efficiently under this load, and Fiber Fresh has been key to that.

In a season where both the weather and travel demands have been extreme, maintaining gut stability has been the difference between a horse that simply “holds up” and one that performs consistently. Fiber Fresh has provided that reliable foundation every day 💚💚

What a privilege it has been to compete in the NZ World Cups at these beautiful venues and to be supported by the most amazing people!

Dolcé Del Colle finished our World Cup season with 4th in the final and 3rd in the series. I’m so lucky to have her and am so proud of how far we have come together over the season.

It’s been a missive commitment with many ferry crossings, months in the truck and long days driving across the country. None of this could be possible without my team and I’m incredibly grateful. Thank you to my family, coach, sponsors and everyone who has supported us along the way! ❤️

8yo Chamanezza PS had a great weekend with a clear 1.30 and 4f in the 1.45. She has gained great milage and experience, and we are excited for the rest of the season with her.

Gabbana in her first GP ✨

With the end of the year fast approaching that also means the grass is drying off and is losing its nutritional value. Luckily there is no need to stress, because everything you need comes in the perfect green bag 🙌🏻 🤩 Fiber Fresh take the stress out of feeding, especially at this time of year. Aspen Park has a range of hungry growing horses that absolutely thrive on Fiber Protect. It’s the foundation and essential part of every horses diet.

Our foals, stallions, broodmares, young horses, competition horses and retired horses are glowing and thriving from the inside out. With Fiber Fresh, we know our horses are getting the best possible start every day 💚💚
