Here’s to new beginnings ✨
Come celebrate Matariki with a stunning light display as local artist Nerys Ngaruhe’s projections of the Matariki stars transform the facility, bringing art, culture, and the spirit of the Māori New Year to life.

Thursday 16 to Sunday 19 of July from 6-8pm at Pūtangitangi Greenmeadows Centre, corner of Main Road & Songer Street, Stoke Nelson.

Saturday social tennis 1-3pm today is a good place to test what tips you’ve picked up 🤭 of course being weather dependent!
$5 for visitors, $2 for members. Hope you’re all having some great hits this winter, it’s been amazing to see everyone.
UPDATE: With persistent rain & wet courts, there will be no club day today. Fingers crossed for next Saturday. Stay dry everyone! ☔️

Tonight was the annual Interclub prize giving, courtesy of Nelson Bays Tennis Association. Always a blast for the local clubs to get together, and thank goodness we play better tennis than we take photos, or we'd be in trouble 😉

Stoke was lucky to have the ‘Slow Burners’ who won the women’s Tues Div 2 Doubles comp. And even more fortunate to have the ‘Hot Shots’ sizzle to a close second in the same grade. Tennis is on fire 🔥 The shield is back in the club room! There was also some Junior success for Stoke which was fabulous to see.

We cannot wait to get more people into Interclub which runs Oct to Dec, then Feb to Mar/Apr. So keep an eye out for expressions of interest later in the year. In the mean time; enjoy the winter tennis 🎾
