48hrs. Family. Business. Perspective.
We traveled home for 48hrs so the girls could go to the KPOP concert.
In that same window I took a meeting with a marketing executive that reached out after seeing my work online.
He told me my professional value was strong.....but my video delivery needed work....😅. He's not wrong. He was fair, accurate and I appreciate the honest, helpful feedback. I was given tips and guidance, and by the end of the meeting a new professional connection was made.
Walking into the concert I got a phone call asking if I had the time to do a couple of DISC profiles. Absolutely yes!!!
This 48hrs gave me a professional connection and repeat business, I'd say that's a win!
Let's get to the part most working parents don't say out loud.
Some days of the school holidays can be torturous!!!!
" Mum can I have" " Mum can we" "Mum, Savi said...." "Mum, Tali said..... " not just once or twice, all day!!!!!
If we're all being honest every parent has had those days where your patience is hanging on by a thread. After two stern warnings at the supermarket we reached the car, I chucked my phone in the center console and the video camera turned on.
We all paused, then burst out laughing it was so random and such a blessing. It completely changed out states. It was a timely reminder that although it had been a rough day it was a day that we all had eachother ❤️.
48hrs reminded me of this:
Your work creates opportunities.
Your presence shapes people.
And your awareness determines what we model, and no one is perfect.
Back on the road tomorrow, yeay!
