The Board of Bowls Nelson wish to apologise to Steve Delaney for not acknowledging his achievements over the past season at our recent prize giving function. We didn’t do our homework well enough.



Steve won 2 Gold medals in the B4 section of the NZ Blind Lawn Bowling Associations National championships last November. He won the singles and pairs as skip with Joseph Kim as his lead. Further to that Steve was recognised at the NZBLBA AGM by being awarded the Presidents choice cup for “Excellence in Lawn Bowls”. He was awarded this for his achievements, his representative record, and his leadership role within teams, and for his service to promote the NZ Blind Lawn Bowls Game.



Could you please ensure this news is spread to your members and perhaps posted on your notice boards.



Once again, we apologise to Steve and congratulate him on his successes. Please note we have put measures in place to try and ensure this never happens again.
