Calling all referees!

Ever thought about becoming a basketball referee and getting paid while staying involved in the game? Now’s your chance!

Harbour is hosting a Referee Training Session at Stanmore Bay Leisure Centre for anyone interested in learning the basics of officiating basketball.

📅 Monday 9 March
⏰ 4:00pm – 6:30pm
📍 Stanmore Bay Leisure Centre

The session will be led by Glen Horobin (BBNZ Referee Trainer), who will guide you through the fundamentals of refereeing and how to get started.

Monday 7-a-side or Tuesday Fast 5 Netball

🏐Fast 5 Netball (Mixed) is a fun, fast-paced twist on traditional netball!
Each team has five players on court, and games will consist of 4 x 8 min quarters. Players can score 1 or 2 depending on where they shoot from, and there’s a Power Play quarter where goals count for double! Rolling substitutions keep the game moving, and with fewer players, there’s more space, speed, and excitement on court.
Perfect for players who love quick, high-energy action!

🏐Monday Night (Mixed) 7-a-Side Netball – The Classic Game!! It’s social, energetic, and a great way to stay active with friends. Each team has seven players on court — GS, GA, WA, C, WD, GD, and GK — each with their own court zones. Games are played with traditional netball rules: pass, pivot, and shoot to score! No running with the ball, and you must be 3 feet from your opponent when defending. Fast, fun, and full of teamwork!
