Ok, so yesterday's photo was a wee bit off with the colour!!!

How good does Barron Saddle look now? Stoked to have played a part in the work on this iconic Aoraki Mount Cook alpine hut.

And the little feathered friends? This little gang were our constant throughout the project, working together to keep us on our toes...

A bittersweet job this week in Aoraki Mount Cook National Park - the removal of the old Murchison Hut. So hard to see this hut in such a sorry state, it was definitely time for it to move on...

It has been fantastic working with Sean Brooks in the mountains again, second nature for both of us, in so many ways.

Big thanks to the New Zealand Alpine Club for making it happen and to the NZAC volunteers for helping us out on the ground. Also thanks to Inflite Helicopters for your expertise in the air.

An office with a different view for the next few days...

Currently in Aoraki Mount Cook National Park doing some alpine hut maintenance, Barron Saddle Hut first stop. So good to be combining my carpentry and mountain background into one...and working with the legendary Sean Brooks to keep our huts in good nick.

A ride that has been on my list for a while, the Pike 29 Memorial Track. A solo mission on the trusty Ritchey P29er steel hardtail made for some post-Christmas cheer, huffing and puffing...a few more gears would have been handy (32/36T lowest gear ⚙️ 😬)

The track itself was gruntier than I was expecting but, similar to the Paparoa, exceptionally well built, given the terrain and rock types.

Turned right at the Junction up top and headed out to Punakaiki via Pororari.

Stunning views, stunning trail, stoked to tick this one off the list!

Big shout out to Cycle Journeys for helping us out with a tube for the trusty steed when no bike shops were open in Greymouth

Humbled, is one way of putting it... It's not often I'm lost for words, but Gareth, of the legendary WMC Trail tools, managed to do just that!

Gareth presented T5 Contracting a brand spanking new trail tool, definitely a Weapon of Mass Creation, complete with custom "branding". Our earlier version is still being used and going strong after about 12 years.

So stoked to be acknowledged and recognized by a like minded and fellow mountain biker. Thanks Mate

Even got to go for a spin with the boys up at Craigieburn Trails yesterday.
