Just a shout out to all those amazing people who helped us run a very successful show today 👏. The judges & stewards who gave up their day and all those people behind the scenes who keep the wheels turning - it takes a village to run these events and we really appreciate everyone’s help 🙏. Congratulations 🥳 to all our competitors for your successes and for showing up even tho it’s been a terrible wet winter so far so lucky the weather certainly shined for us today 👌

SH6 has just reopened 👏

SH6 OKARAMIO, MARLBOROUGH - SERIOUS CRASH - FINAL UPDATE 7AM, SUN 20 JUL

State Highway 6 has RE-OPENED, under stop go traffic management near Leslies Rd.

UPDATE 5:50AM, SUN 20 JUL

State Highway 6 remains CLOSED north of Renwick this morning, while downed power lines are repaired, following a serious crash.

Closure points remain in place at Leslies Rd and Mount Riley Rd.

UPDATE 8PM

Due to a serious crash, SH6 Okaramio is CLOSED between Leslies Rd and Mount Riley Rd.

Please expect the road to remain closed for several hours tonight. The Serious Crash Unit is attending, and power company contractors are working on-site to clear the fallen power line.

If you are coming from this side of town or Nelson direction please note SH6 is still closed this morning due to power lines still being down after last nights crash 😩. Queen Charlotte Drive via Picton is open but now 💯 sure if it’s suitable for towing vehicles currently? Not ideal!!

We would like to thank Sharleen Wells from PGG Blenheim for donating this bag of Dunstan Sugar Beet to giveaway at tomorrow’s show 🙏.

We have chosen to use this for a lucky 🍀 back number draw and the winner of this great prize is back number 21 🥳 Colin Daley!! Well done Colin 😀 you can collect your prize from the MEP clubrooms tomorrow. I’m sure the ponies will very much appreciate a sugar beet feed to warm their tummies after a hard day at the show 👌.
