Hey guys.

Social basketball leagues start back the week of Monday 12th January.

The cost will remain the same as last year at $60 per team per game. ($720 for a 12 week season)

Monday mens will run out of bishopdale ymca (2 courts) and st Thomas (2 courts) and hillmorton and cathedral (when available).

Tuesday mens will run out of graham Condon, st Thomas (2 courts) and hillmorton.

Wed mens will run out wharenui, cathedral college and hillmorton.

Thursday mens will run out of graham Condon and wharenui.

Monday and Tuesday mixed comps will run out of wharenui gym.

To enter your team I need:

1. Team name

2. Team colour (please get a team colour sorted and stick to it as it makes things a lot easier for the refs)

3. Team contact person name email and mobile.

4. Any game time or venue preferences. We don't promise anything but we do our best to accomodate. Bear in mind the large majority of teams prefer earlier games!

Leagues on offer are as follows:

2. Team colour (matching singlets is ideal but not compulsory BUT team captains please choose a colour and get your team to wear the same colour)

2022 is, undoubtedly, The Year to get your Cardiovascular Fitness Firing on all Cylinders!

Are you and a group of friends keen to join a fun, organised, social basketball league? 🏀
Over 100 Men’s teams play, Mon, Tues, Wed & Thurs nights, each week, right here in Christchurch (+ Mixed teams play Mon & Tues nights).

The 40 minute games are a superb workout, and ideal for people who want to play proper games, but in a league that is not overly competitive.

Why enter a team?
- Boost your physical health: improve your cardiovascular fitness, hand-eye coordination & concentration
- Boost your mental health: exercise is almost certainly the best thing you can do to keep your stress-levels in check
- Level up your social health: play in a social team with your mates and/or workmates, it’s a super-fine way to maintain and develop supportive relationships
- Enjoy yourself – games are a lot of fun!

If you like the sound of it organise a group of friends or workmates. You’ll need around 7-10 players.

We listened! Due to Popular Demand, Announcing the launch of the NEW Thursday night MIXED social basketball Christchurch league at Wharenui gym.

This is due to Monday and Tuesday mixed leagues overflowing with teams. Game times are 6:15, 7:00, 7:45 and 8:30.

The 40 minute games are a superb workout and ideal for people who want to play proper games but in a league that is not overly competitive.

Hey guys,

This year we are adding two new leagues:

A NEW Wednesday night mens 3 on 3 league at wharenui gym.

Teams need to have just four players and the cost is $40 for a team per night.

Format is 3 times 12 minute games (3 minute break between games) over a 45 minute period. Fast paced, intense physically and every player gets a lot of time on the ball. FIBA 3 on 3 rules!

This league starts January 27th and has a maximum of 24 team spots. Game times 6:30, 7:15 and 8:00.

AND

A NEW Thursday night mixed league at wharenui gym. This is due to monday snd tuesday mixed leagues overflowing with teams. Game times are 6:15, 7:00, 7:45 and 8:30.

This league starts Thursday 28th January.

If your keen on entering either of the new leagues please let me know your:

1. Team name
2. Team colour (ideal if you have matching shirts or singlets but not essential - but MUST be in same colour)
3. Your contact person name, email and mobile.
4. Any game time preference (we don't promise anything but try to accomodate where possible)

The leagues play every week at Wharenui gym in Riccarton.
