“I was first introduced to disc golf through my grandpa when I was 7-9 but I was just there along side of him watching and only throwing forehands about 50 feet but loved to be out there. Then my grandpa couldn’t really go out anymore and play so it kinda just fell off cause I didn’t have anyone to play with.
My sophomore year I got really close to my friend Michael and his dad and I found out they played disc golf and told them I used to play so his dad Mike gave me a putter, midrange, and a driver. This was around November last year so I’ve kinda just been playing with them since. Started getting serious about playing these past few months playing in minis that I’ve had pretty good result in for jumping straight to open; but absolutely fell in love with the game.” - Jayden Whitehead
