~~New Zealand Olympic Committee Membership Update~~
The Taekwondo New Zealand Board are pleased to announce that on the 6th May 2026, the New Zealand Olympic Committee (NZOC) General Assembly ratified Taekwondo New Zealand's membership.
Taekwondo New Zealand would like to thank and acknowledge everyone who has supported this journey, with special thanks to: World Taekwondo, Nicky Nicol & Tara Pryor (NZOC) for their partnership, and Henry Moore and Lucy Brittain for their critical advisory roles. We would also like to thank the past and present TNZ Board members who have worked tirelessly over the last five years to achieve this outcome. Finally, we would like to thank the New Zealand Taekwondo Community for your support. You are the reason for this work, and your support is invaluable.
This is a significant step forward for Taekwondo in New Zealand, and while there is more work to be done, we look forward to working with NZOC and building a better future for Taekwondo in Aotearoa, New Zealand.
