This weekend, we proudly celebrate Matt Richards as he officiates his 100th match, returning to the very fixture where his refereeing journey began — Hikurangi vs Hicks Bay.

After an injury ended his playing days, Matty chose to stay connected to the game he loves by picking up the whistle. Nine years on, his dedication, professionalism, and steady presence have made him a respected member of our refereeing team and a valued part of our rugby community.

On behalf of the rugby union and all your peers, congratulations Matty. Thank you for your service, your passion, and everything you bring to the game. 🫡
