Toby Laidlow Memorial — Saturday 2 May 2026

Rotorua East Bowling Club was honoured to host the Toby Laidlow Memorial on Saturday, 2 May 2026 — a touching and heartfelt gathering that brought together a large group of Toby’s (TUBBS) friends and family. The day was filled with aroha, laughter, and shared memories, all celebrated in true bowling fashion to honour a muchloved man.

We received wonderful feedback about the event, with many noting how special it was to see young and old coming together on the green. While working on the Christmas Trees project during the day, a member mentioned how the atmosphere created a real sense of connection and positivity within the club — a reminder of the community spirit that makes Rotorua East so unique.

To the Laidlow family, thank you for choosing Rotorua East Bowling Club for this special occasion. It was a privilege to host you all, and we are grateful to have been part of such a meaningful tribute.

Thank you so much to everyone who made our Quiz Night such a phenomenal success! To our incredible attendees, thank you for bringing your sharp wits, brilliant energy, and fantastic competitive spirit - the night wouldn't have been the same without your enthusiasm and laughs.
