For the 2026 season, Domino’s Koutu has generously provided pizzas for our home games, taking care of a task that would otherwise require significant time, effort, and expense from our volunteers and families.

Having food sorted on match day makes a massive difference. It allows our players, coaches, officials, and supporters to focus on football, enjoy time together, and create a great team environment both on and off the field.

🙌🩵🖤🌟 50 Senior Games 🌟🖤🩵🙌

This weekend we are lucky to have 2 home games and we celebrate a special milestone as Amy-Lee Vedder brings up her 50th cap for Lakes FC Women at just 18 years old.

Current W-League Coach Andrew Gibbs had these words to say about Amy-Lee:

“Amy-Lee Vedder is a fantastic athlete that optimises everything good in the Lakes FC women’s space. Amy-Lee is strong, fast, agile and combative on the field whilst being about the nicest, most grounded young woman you could ever meet.

She is a brave and fearless player who shows composure and leadership that belies her actual age.

Amy-Lee sets amazing standards on and off the field.

At just 18 she is a young but adored captain and key part of our W-League campaign. We are so lucky to have her and couldn’t be more proud.

Congrats on 50 games. Here is to many more.”

A quiet achiever with a great attitude, Amy-Lee continues to lead by example every time she pulls on the Lakes shirt.

We are on the verge of having to default our Bay Women due to sickness, injury and general bad luck.

We’re looking for women and girls (16+) who are keen for a one-off game of football in Ōhope.

No pressure, no long commitment — just a good run, good people, and a bit of fun on the pitch.

Whether you’ve played for years or haven’t kicked a ball in ages, you’re welcome. This could also be the start of the most enjoyable team you’ll ever be part of and you might be hooked for life.

Our W-League ladies enter round one of the Kate Sheppard Cup against Onehunga Sports Football Club.

We get the advantage of playing at home so get on down to Rayboord Park this Saturday to check out our ladies in action in the Cup.

Our Bay team head to Ohope Beach Football Club to play the Sirens against the stunning backdrop of waves and White Island.

Goodluck to all our women as they play on Mother’s Day 2026.

Tomorrow will see the W-League head into battle with Whakatāne Town AFC which will see plenty of familiar faces on both teams.

Whakatane are back in the W-League and are keen to show the form that got them promoted back into the top flight locally.

Our W-League look to push ahead with their strong start to the season with 2 wins on the trot.

Our Bay Ladies have a bye this week so all eyes are on Ray Boord Park.

🩵🖤⚽️ Matchday 2 ⚽️🖤🩵

Our W-League travel to Hamilton tomorrow to make up the first round game that was postponed due to weather and our Bay ladies are home on Monday vs Waipuna FC.

The W-League will be hoping to continue their start they have had after opening the season with a 10-2 win.

Our Bay ladies struggled for numbers in week 1 and still felt they could’ve done better in their 2-1 loss.

Monday will give them a chance to turn it around.
