Travelled to Kawerau golf club today to attend the secondary school J.I Manihera Memorial golf tournament, to tautoko two school
academy’s I’ve been working with, Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o te koutu and more recently Western Heights High School.

Congratulations to Western Heights for taking out the J.I Manihera memorial teams event.
It was a great day watching you all partake and compete.
Well done teams.

As a whanau we are very humbled by the aroha shown to Hunter and us for her next chapter in the USA.

Thank you to firstly everyone that registered a team or 2 or 3 that wanted to tautoko. Many of you travelled from near and far. We really appreciate it.

We were extremely blessed to have prizes, Kai, posters, pics from the day and help just given and it all has had an impact on how awesome the day turned out and really demonstrated how awesome the tribe is that surrounds our girl.

Massive shoutout to Lakeview Golf and Country Club and more importantly the members who have doted on this girl since day 1. The next generation of juniors will be extremely lucky to have you as a supportive golfing family.

Hard to put into words just how we feel. But thankyou for believing in Te Rohu like we always have. We know she will go there and give 120% and make us all proud to have been instrumental on her journey 🫶

For all those playing in Hunter’s Fundraiser this Saturday, here’s some general information and timings of the day.

Saturday 25th Anzac Day

10am Arrival and team rego.

10:40am Briefing/3 person Ambrose rules etc

10:50am Move to tees

11am. Shotgun start

4pm. Finish golf/start beers socialising.

5pm. Kai

5:30pm. Prizegiving/ first raffle drawn

6pm. Speeches

7pm. Auction/ Warriors experience for 3 ppl hosted and donated by former NRL player turned golfer Sione Famauina.

Then draw all the remainder of raffles

Bring an extra $20 for the raffle table and cash for gambling hole on the 4th. Double your money inside the circle.

If you can’t make it and want to make a koha

Draw will be out later today, we will have three teams on each hole with a couple of 4 team holes.
So it may be a little slow out there at times, just relax, crank the sounds and enjoy the day.

Bar will be open to purchase drinks etc

Have a big breaky before coming up, kai will be provided but not until later on in the day.

😂 We all settled in to watch, all excited then 20 seconds into it, we had a power cut 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️ oh my life, missed most of it. Lucky for T.V on demand.
