ZENNIN MARTIAL ART

‘ZENNIN’ is translated as ‘Good People’, relating to the fraternity of positive martial arts instructors and students.
TRAINING PHILOSOPHY
The Zennin training philosophy relates to three combat ranges; kicking and striking range incorporating predominantly thai kickboxing techniques; mid-range locks, holds and throws incorporating Goju self defence applications; and thirdly ground control and submissions.
Weaponry is also a focus area at black-belt level and above.
Mission Statement:
Zennin Martial Arts is committed to promoting the value and learning of martial arts to improve the health and well-being of its members to benefit broad communities throughout New Zealand.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
Student Responsibilities:
• Be presentable and courteous towards members, family members and instructors.
• Don’t place the organisation in disrepute.
• Pay fees in a timely manner.
Instructor Responsibilities:
• Teach in accordance with the set training programs and syllabus requirements.
• Present themselves in an honest and professional manner.
Dojo etiquette:
• Bow upon entering and exiting.
• Address Instructors and ranked members by their titles in the dojo.
• Seek acknowledgement from the instructor if you have arrived late or need to leave early.
• Do not walk directly in front of your seniors.
• Do not wear shoes on the training area.
• The use of drugs and ci******es are not permitted in the dojo.
• Keep clean in body and appearance.
• Do not swear or be disrespectful in the dojo.
• Ensure there is no idle talk whilst training.
• Seek permission before using training equipment.
• Ensure your training intensity is appropriate when training with fellow students
