Ever heard singers talk about chest voice, head voice, or mixed voice and wondered what it all means? 🎶
Your voice isn’t just one sound — it has different registers, and each one plays a special role.
🔴 Chest Voice
This is where your lower notes live. It feels strong, warm, and grounded, and you’ll often feel the vibration in your chest. It’s also the voice you usually speak in and where powerful, rich tones begin.
🔵 Head Voice
This is where your higher notes sit. The sound feels lighter and more resonant in your head or face. It helps you reach high notes with freedom instead of pushing or straining.
🟠 Mixed Voice
This is the sweet spot between chest and head voice. A good mix lets you take the strength of chest voice up into higher notes — this is what creates that powerful, effortless belt without hurting your voice.
When these registers work together, your voice feels more smooth, strong, and flexible across your whole range.
