Another very slow start against a very good HSOB Wildcats.

Tough talk at the end of the first third woke us up. A quick goal after the break helped us relax and play our game. That with some incredible saves by our goalie gave us a good 3 - 0 win. Physical game that in the past wouldn't have suited us, but the girls have adapted to play wider and faster to overcome this.

The Kiwi's game on Friday was a hard one against Harewood. Although there were no Kiwi goals, the girls kept trying right until the end, and their teamwork was on display with lots of passing and finding space. Player of the day was Ivy, for her great tackling, staying in her position and being hungry for the ball. Well done Ivy!

Excellent game for Korimako today, with some great passing moves up the field. The team continues its work on staying in the game and battling for the ball. Moana faced our strongest opponents of the season this weekend, and every single player dug deep and put in a valiant effort. The boys fought hard right to the end, narrowly going down 4–3. The team continues to improve week by week, and they can be super proud of their efforts on the pitch.

Coach’s Choice went to Palmer for his outstanding work in the midfield. His effort and contribution at both ends of the pitch were invaluable.
Player of the Day went to Cohen for his hard work up front and a great goal. He was a constant threat in attack and defence.

Mighty Kotare prevailed against an under strength Avon team in the girls Yr7/8 competition this morning. Walked away 11- 0 winners. Epiphany moments for some players always good to experience. Still missing the mark on consistent passing sequences. But some meaningful on field experiences for others too. PoTD: Portia - massive improvement in basics, moving the ball on and cover defense.

The Piwakawaka faced the Marist Kiwis for the second time this season, after going down 1-8 last time they came away with a very close 3-4 loss this week.
Immensely proud of the way everyone played today - our passing and positional play is getting better and better every week, leading to some sensational goals today.
Very happy sideline!
With our dedicated defender out sick we had to try out some new defenders and discovered some hidden talents!
Player of the day genuinely could have gone to anyone, the girls left it all on the turf, but was awarded to Chelsea -
well deserved (and overdue!) she put in another consistent and hard working game on the wing.
The dumpling went to Eliza who had an outstanding game at defense (hidden talent!).
What a pleasure it is the coach these girls, they turn up and give it their all.
