Evening all, unfortunately im cancelling tomorrow's meeting, 6/6/26. Unfortunately its tipping it down now and forcast to do the same in the morning! Although we can run on wet astro, its not much fun or good for your car.

The june Sunday meeting is live however...... hopefully we get back to the good weather weve been having.....

Gates open at 9.30 due to winter darkness and dampness.

Bring you silver mezzo tyres as grip will probably be low.

Morning all, i hope youve been coping well with the recent and very abrupt transition into winter.......

With that said, its about time that MRC had a bit of a change up.

Monday 27th we will be doing a working bee at the track with the following jobs planned to be ticked off:

- Replace the astro in the center of the track and cover the open dirt areas.

- tidy up a few of the really big bumps/slumps in the dirt under the astro, so if there's any that you personally want to address, here's your chance.

- pull up the ropes and change the layout. I have a rough idea in my head so ill explain it on the day, we'll chuck it down and if those who are there want to make changes, we can.......

The hardest part of this will be moving the astro, the plan here is to roll out the new stuff and drag it into place, so more hands will make this much easier........

Please also bring your cars and some batteries, well test the new layout and give everyone an idea as to how it'll run 😁

So, its look forward to seeing anyone who can help on Monday the 27th. I'll open the gate at 9am.

Righto team,

It been what feels like a minute after being away to the north island to race a Gisborne over Easter...... I have to say a huge thank you to Gary for stepping in to run the Saturday meeting while I was away.

Well, we're back at it this Sunday. We have conflict weather reports, one saying rain, one saying fine so at this stage we are racing Sunday!

If it does rain and we end up canning the event, we will look to try again over the Anzac weekend. If we run this weekend I'll look at doing a working bee on a day over Anzac weekend to replace the astro in the middle area, tidy up a few areas under sections of astro and then put a new layout down........ I have an idea for the top half of the track which I think will make it really fun but the pits end, we'll probably make it up as we go, so if youre there you'll be able to get creative if you like.......

Hello sports fans, race time is upon us again, this Saturday the 4th of April!

This weekend will be being run by local legend Gary Houliston who's been learning how to run the live timing over the last few meetings, but like all things new to any of us we can get caught out, so, PLEASE ensure YOUR transponder numbers are correct to help Gary out. Also please be aware of the start time, gates open at 8.30ish, and then the usual relaxed racing start when everyone is there and ready, that we usually do...... therefore no need to turn up at 8.10 quing up the road..........

The weather admittedly looks dicey, so if it is raining in the morning, id say it won't run, at present the forcast says 50% afternoon rain....... but the forcast wil probably change before then so keep an eye on it. I'll try my best to be in contact with Gary in Saturday morning to update any changes due to weather......

In other news, the seasons are definitely changing, this morning was really cold and due to that, the astro was damp...... so dig out those silver compound mezzos from last winter for the early heats......

Good morning race fans, its that time again, racing at mrc this Sunday.

This will be the last round of the summer points series so if you're racing for a position, this is it.....

Its all to play for, your worst 3 rounds will be dropped from the series, this usually changes the order a bit and keeps things interesting.....
