The Riverhead Bowling Club is currently running meals at the club on Wednesday and Friday evenings for club members and the local community.
There is an increase in customer attendance, most notably affecting the bar turnover and to help alleviate the bar demand, the club is looking for people who have the time to help run the bar.
The position would be ideal for someone with time on their hands, perhaps looking for some extra income or for someone looking to gain experience at entry level in the hospitality industry.
This is a paid position, hours and renumeration can be discussed following expressions of interest.

Greetings from the Riverhead Bowling Club, those that played in the annual Twilight bowls which began last night (Wednesday) ,we now can offer a selection of meals to choose from - the prices and quality of the meals was well received by those playing bowls and with a couple of beers and wines, a great night was of fun was enjoyed by all.
Such was the success of the food provided; the Club has decided to have a range of meals for the locals on a Friday - starting tomorrow 30th February from 5.30pm to 8.30pm - this should run from every Friday onwards.
The bar will be open with a great range of alcoholic and non- alcoholic beverages.

The Open Fours Championship was completed over the weekend in fine conditions and was played in the very competitive spirit that this event is known for.

When the finalists were decided, it was Gordon Smith team of Grant Goodwin, Duane McDonald, and Steve Cox who progressed with two lives remaining in the final against Duncan Whittaker’s team of Peter Signal, Chico Sclanders,and Doug George, who had one life.

The game was tight in the early stages, some excellent close bowls. The critical monument came on end 10 when Gordon’s team was two shots down. Gordon then played a decisive drive, removing both opposition bowls from the head. When Duncan was heavy with his final bowl, Gordon followed up with a superb draw, giving his team a count of four shots.

This proved to be the turning point, and Gordon and his team went on to claim victory, retaining both of their lives. Congratulations to the winners

Following on from the fine form he showed in the Open Pairs Championship Duane McDonald has won the Open Singles Championship with both life’s intact a great achievement from the 18 starters and meet in the final veteran Tony Garelja but Duane who had earlier beaten defending champion Steve Cox was too strong winning 21-17.

Our second Club Open Championship was completed recently in fine weather. There was some great games and upsets as usual and the green was a good speed. In the final Duane McDonald & Steve Cox were too strong for Peter Signal and Doug George even though the score was close at many stages throughout the final.
