Congratulations to our international judoka of mystery John Maxwell on selection for the 2022 Oceania Open and Cup in Perth this October!

John is also currently on his way to Poland for the World Championships Veterans!

Just like that I have finished at my first Commonwealth Games.

Such a surreal experience being out on the world stage. I have loved every part of it. I didn't achieve the result I was hoping for but I am proud of the effort I put out there today. I have grown so much as a judo player over the last year and can't wait to see how far I can go.

Thank you so much for all the support from everyone. It's been amazing to represent New Zealand.

Some special thank yous to my coaches, especially Jason Koster for always pushing me outside my comfort zone and reminding me that this pressure is a privilege.

To the rest of the NZ Judo team for always supporting oneanother. Everyone did absolutely amazing. I'm so proud of you all.

Thank you to my Judo family at Whakatane Judo Club and Premiere Equipe Judo. The love and support from you all have been incredible.

Thank you my parents and Adam for coming all this way to support me and sticking by me through it all ups and downs.

Thank you to all the sponsors who have supported me and the team along this journey to get to where we are today.

There are so many people to thank that it is hard to name you all. I recognize the support from everyone. You all have helped get me to this amazing experience.
