RTC PICKLEBALL | SOUTH ISLAND CLUB TOURNAMENT

A huge congratulations to all our RTC players and teams who took on the South Island Club Tournament this weekend! 👏🔥

The standard of pickleball was exceptionally high, making this a fantastic challenge for our players to push themselves, compete hard, have fun and learn plenty along the way.

🔥Composite Team 3.0-
Richmond’s Kim, Allan & Suzanne, alongside Nelson’s Paul Booth, took up the challenge, competing against some very strong teams in their category.

While a placing escaped them this time, there were plenty of hard-fought matches, close finishes and valuable experiences. Most importantly, lots of fun was had! 👏

🔥 Women’s 3.5+ Open
Bexi Monopoli & Krystle Brand had some highly competitive matches and secured a fantastic win to finish 4th overall. 💪

🔥 Mixed doubles open 3.5+ Krystle Brand & Omid Mohtadi put in a great performance, finishing 4th in their pool with 3 wins. 👏

🔥 Mixed Doubles 3.5+ Open
Bexi Monopoli & David Brown also fought hard throughout the pool, finishing 5th with 3 wins.

🔥🥈 Mixed Doubles 50+
And the weekend got even better for Bexi Monopoli & David Brown, who battled their way to an outstanding SILVER MEDAL! 🥈🎉

A special shout-out to Bexi, who put in an incredible 9+ hours on court across the tournament and even took out the tournament record for longest time played on court! 😮‍💨🔥 What an effort!

❤️ RTC Pickleball is incredibly proud of every one of our competitors. You represented Richmond Tennis Club with determination, sportsmanship and plenty of heart.

Well done team — you should all be proud of yourselves! 👏🎉
