🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 5 star review from Colin Brownlee: The best service.

I tried on several race suits for karting and couldn’t find one that fitted, as I am a more senior person, and as I found out I am a β€œshape” with a larger β€œengine” and β€œshorter” legs. I contacted LRC and spoke with Roger, he asked me several questions, I did a few measurements and we decided on a size, Roger posted the suit to me, which was very prompt, unfortunately the suit was a little large, I called Roger, he said that was a good start, he said send it back and we will go down a size, he said he measured the one he sent me against a size down and sent that down, that suits fits really good, (maybe 1 or 2 salads for me)
Roger was awesome to deal with, nothing was a problem, would definitely recommend.
Regards
Colin

🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 5 star review from Ben Crowe: Great service and quality product!

My order was a little bit more technical than most in what was required in way of replacement parts, but that wasn't an issue - like they say, all parts are available to order. Clear communication made it a breeze.

As for the neck brace itself, we'd used the EVS R4 and Leatt Kart braces before making the switch to the Valhalla 360, and without a doubt, the Valhalla is the best product we've used. The aforementioned replacement parts availability means you will get years out of one, and even upgrading from youth to adult size is easy with the replaceable chin bar, if you're young racer is outgrowing it.

Thanks again Roger, appreciate the high level of service, and next time, we may be coming back for a custom suit!

TEAMS CHAMPS DRIVER #38: BOB SMITH

The current patron of Oceanview Speedway, Bob Smith has devoted a lifetime of service to the sport of speedway racing, and back in the day was quite a Stockcar peddler. His career began in the early days of the Wanganui track, and he was a thorn in the side of the teams such as the Panthers from the late 70’s.

Bob had qualified for the NZ Champs finals five years in a row by 1982, when he placed third at home and a few weeks later was part of the Wanganui Warriors Superstock Team that went down in the final to the Panthers.

After a couple of seasons in machinery that was becoming uncompetitive as the spaceframe era arrived, it was almost like Bob decided to go out with a bang as he rolled into Baypark for the 1986 NZ Champs with a brand new car that was possibly the most audacious ever built.

His Kuriger chassis with a high single plane wing was a sensation, and placed 3NZ straight out of the box. Bob then came to Teams Champs and helped the Warriors reached their third final in six seasons, losing again in controversial circumstances, this time to the Rotorua Rebels.

Bob went Modified racing after this, and the Stockcar was raced by 33GB Pete Falding in 1986/87 who very nearly became the first overseas driver to win the NZ title. Bob continued to be involved with the odd guest drive over the years, as the rest of his family began to take up the reigns both on and off the track.
