The 2 girls teams combined today in a Kids v Parents game to finish their season off.
Not sure of exact final score but pretty sure the parents won.
Although most of us are off to the physio tomorrow I think 😂

Just the one game today as our Term 1 season is now wrapped up for all teams.

Our Div 2 Girls travelled to Kakaha Park in Prebbleton today to play Selwyn Wahine / Halswell & went down 8/119 against 6/133.
Tess Hallmark scoring 22 runs the stand out batter, Quincey Hawes picking up 2 wickets, Erin Turner, Mila Denny, Summer Hodgkinson, & Pia Sutton all 1 each.

The Girls teams have their prize giving this Tuesday 530pm - 6pm at Mainpower Oval. (The cricket grounds).

We would also like to take this chance as we wrap up to give Swannanoa Cricket Club another huge shout out & thanks for once again supporting our girls teams by allowing us to play more games out here in Nth Canty at their beautiful domain.

Thanks to Alan for all his hard work on the grounds at Dudley, & to all our coaches for all the work they do with the kids, & our hard working committee who keep everything ticking over!

Also thanks to all our shirt sponsors:

If your child has finished playing for the season & still has their playing shirt please let me know. I have just a couple teams left to collect from & will then audit them all to make sure all shirts are in.

Thanks to Coach Craig for this write up:
We were put into bat on a cloudy day by the sea and the home team had the ball moving in the air, the girls put up a scrappy fight back to post 51.
The team then hit the field with some positive energy, and intent. There was some sharp bowling on show with our spinners making the most of the grass assisted by a bit of good length pace and some sharp fielding to drag them into the 12th over.
Girls Div 3 0/135 beating St Margarets 4/54
Thanks to Coach Chris this write up:
The Div 3 girls picked up where they left off last week and bowling first went wicket hunting. Willow Gray picked up 2 wickets in the first over then Bel Lyons picked up a hat-trick with her first three balls and finished with a four wicket maiden over. There were also direct hit run outs to Bell Ross and Willow Gray. St Margaret’s finished on 54 with the girls starting on 27 runs from 9 grace wickets. Willow Gray finished with 4 for 5, Bel Lyons 4 for 4, Asher Blakely 1 for 6, Willow van de VonderVoort 1 for 8 and Emily Boyle 1 for 8 the wicket takers. The runs flowed and the girls finished with 135 without loss with all batters retiring. Charlotte Hawes 20* including a big 6 over long on and Willow van de Vondervoort 14* the pick of the batters. Player of the Day was Willow Gray for a great all round game.

Tonight we had the pleasure of presenting Jordan Thomson from Section 1 Red with the match ball from a recent game where he scored his maiden half century reaching 51 off 39 balls.

The ball is dated & notes the opposition & his score to help Jordan remember & celebrate this special achievement.

Coaches Ryan & Josh are pictured here with Jordan. Well done 🏏

Hi All,

Last game this weekend for our boys/mixed teams.
The Girls teams have one more round.

Playing Shirts back in:
Can I please get one parent from each team (ideally someone who lives in Rangiora so close to me & not further out so it's easier to get back to me) to gather all the teams playing shirts in after the game on Saturday & please wash & dry them.
Then we can sort getting them back to me from one person rather than lots of people to sort. So if the kids can all take a shirt to change into on Saturday please.
Any shirts that don't come back in with the team collection, I will reach out to you to sort but it will be on you to get it back to me as I don't have time to chase people please.

Here's the draw for this Saturday:

Saturday March 21st

Sect 1 Blue v Ohoka Kiwis @ Mandeville 5

Sect 1 Red v Hurunui @ Dudley Park 1

Sect 2 White v Woodend Wekas @ Gladstone Park 1A

Sect 2 Black v Cheviot @ Cheviot School 1A

Sect 3 Red v Woodend Warriors @ Woodend School 2

Sect 3 Black v Kaiapoi Gold @ Kaiapoi Park 4

Sect 4 Red v Woodend Wasps @ Dudley Park 4

Sect 4 White v Ohoka Robins @ Dudley Park 5

Sect 4 Black v Woodend Wizards @ Dudley Park 3

Div 2 Girls v NBCC Queen Bees @ Rawhiti Domain 1
