Okay, sorry for slow updating...
Second race - Grid 13 and finished 6th, with both results putting us straight into the Pole Shuffle Shootout. However, Allan was taking a long time to exit the track, realized he was being pushed back to the pits... why???
Apparently, the temperature gauge was reading off the scale, but the engine bay etc was not hot at all.
Found that the cambelt pully had snapped for the water pump. Unfortunately, we didn't have a spare and no other teams had one that fit. So that was our night 😔
Many thanks to Becky who did a lot of prep work & crewing, and also Aaron from Garage 16 for your help during the night too, most appreciated.
