Good afternoon everyone, we hope you have had a great start to the weekend.

Another Saturday of cricket is upon us and the Maniototo Muddogs are off to Queenstown for a 40 over game.

The lads managed to grab a win today in Cromwell. Batting first they scored 178. Marc Cormack top scored with 90 from 70 balls.
We then managed to bowl Cromwell out for 91. Reuben Pyle was the pick of bowlers with 3 wickets.

Good afternoon Maniototo Muddog followers!

Firstly apologies must be made for the lack of activity over the last month.
Of you were wondering, yes the cricket season is well underway.

It’s been a tough start with 4 weeks of cricket and only 1 win to show. We managed a draw in there due to wet weather but the other 2 weeks go in the L column.

It’s not too late to come along and join the team we welcome everyone who is keen to play. trainings at 6pm Thursday nights at the Maniototo Area School cricket nets.

Hello everyone,

As we all know daylight saving happened in the weekend which means one thing, the cricket season is almost upon us!

The Maniototo senior cricket team will be taking part in the Vincent senior competition again this season. Training will start back up again this week Thursday night 6pm at the Maniototo Area School cricket nets. We are welcoming all returning and new players to come along and join in this season.

More information about the upcoming season will be posted in the coming days.

Well that's a Wrap team,

The Mud Dogs went down in the semi final vs Albion in Luggate over the weekend in a high scoring run fest. Maniototo batted first posting 254/9 off 40 overs. We got off to a flying start with Michael Goldstein making a quick 31. other notable mentions were Marc Cormack and Dean McAuley who piled on the runs in the middle order, with Marc making 65 and Dean making 90 not out.
In return Albion also piled on the runs chasing down the total comfortably in 33 overs only 3 down. Kieran Parker was the pick of the bowlers, bowling very economically until he pulled up lame with a hamstring injury. get better soon Kieran. Ben Smith, Marc Cormack and Brodie Flannery's mate picked up a wicket each.

A big thank you to all the sponsors, supporters and players who helped out this season wether it was on or off the field your help was very much appreciatted. look foward to seeing you all next season.
