Te Mata Tennis Club – Community Helpers Wanted

The Te Mata Tennis Club is looking for parents and community members who are willing to lend a hand and support the future of tennis in our community.

Over the past couple of years the club has been working hard to improve the courts and facilities so that students and community members can continue to enjoy playing tennis. To keep this momentum going, we need a few more people who are willing to contribute their time, skills, or ideas.

You don’t need to join a committee or make a big commitment. We’re simply looking for people who might be able to help in small ways — whether that’s practical skills, helping with projects, offering advice, or supporting events.

If you’re interested in helping ensure that local kids and community members can continue to play tennis, we’d love to see you at a short meeting to talk about how people might get involved.

Meeting: Tuesday 31st March

Time: 9.00am

Location: School staff room

Even if you can only help occasionally, your support would make a real difference.

This meeting has the aim of initiating the final steps of becoming an Inc. society to manage the club activities as momentum grows.

Thank you for supporting our first season of coaching, right here in Te Mata.
Beginning Thursday 12th Feb.
Just the 5-6 age group needs a few more to run. All others have a few places left, and are all go.

Racquets can be provided. Tennis skills are great for hand/eye coordination etc especially for this age group, these skills are invaluable for life, sport & education 👀🎾💪🏼

We are pleased to announce that Hamilton Tennis Academy are offering coaching this summer.

For the adults, Cardio Tennis is a fun & fast session combining skills, rallies, strategy & coaching for all abilities, all wrapped into one.

Te Mata Tennis Club wishes to pass their condolences to all the Carter family, especially our tennis brothers Ben and Tim.
Gary was always supportive of our tennis club and instrumental in helping fund our courts rebuild through the Kauroa Saleyards Committee and we will be forever grateful.
He has been a huge part of this community, loved and respected by all those who knew him and will be sadly missed.

To ensure our community resource remains open for community use, please follow the attached Court Rules, especially the stated times.
