Central Otago Junior Apples Basketball Tournament Our Annual Youth, Men’s and Women’s Senior Basketball Tournament based in iconic Tahuna (Queenstown) under the Ranges of Kawarau (Remarkables)

The Apples Tournament originally held in Cromwell, Alexandra and Wanaka, it was the most popular Basketball Event held in the Dam days during the 80s and 90s, last held in 1998. We bought back the event in 2011, from small and humble beginnings at the Wakatipu High School stadium, to the Queenstown Events Centre in 2020, we celebrate the 9th year for Seniors and the 2nd year for Juniors. Junior Ap

ples is held on the first weekend in October and is attended by over 100 youth from Otago, Eastern Southland, Central Otago and towns in between. Senior Apples is held on the last weekend of October and will this year be our biggest. With over 180 athletes who represent South Canterbury, Waitaki, Eastern Southland, Southland, Otago, Wanaka, Alexandra and hosted by Wakatipu Basketball in partnership with Central Otago Basketball.

This Wednesday night and next, we are going to have additional training for U13s and 15s.
At Cromwell College gym on Barry Avenue.
U13s from 6pm to 730pm with Jackie Kukutai and
U15s from 730pm to 9pm with Jason Sharp.
Please be on time so we can take full advantage of our time together.
