Introducing our 2026 Winter Crew ✈️❄️

Last week we welcomed our returning, and newbie staff members back to Coronet Peak for the winter season ahead.
One noted difference this season is that we are already open for Winter Made Early! Yes you can admire that beautiful skiable slope in the background.

As for our crew? During this week ahead they will all undergo extensive training to make sure your winter goes smoothly, wish them all the best! We’ll catch you up here soon. ⛷️

Winters starting next month? We thought we’d bring it early up at The Peak.

Winter Made Early had its first day today as number 3 of 7 in our Snow Fest event line up. From first timers to the pre season practice pros the thirst for a fresh turns in the snow was quenched today. We are stoked to have our new Snow Factory in action, and providing the goods for people on there 1st day or 50th season come enjoy!

What a morning down at Queenstown Beach for the Snow Fest Polar Plunge. Huge turnout, plenty of laughs, and a beautiful sunrise over Lake Wakatipu to boot.

Great way to kick off Snow Fest this was our 1st of 7 events happening over the next 2 days which one will you be heading to?

Less than 24 hours until Winter Made Early 👀❄️

The snow factory’s been working overtime and the carpet is looking very skiable. First turns, sled laps with the fam… not a bad way to kick off the long weekend if you ask us.

Skis, boards or sleds, tomorrow’s all about Good Times. See you then 🤝

Not long now until Snow Fest kicks off in town and we hope you’re just as excited as we are. 🫶

As always, we encourage catching the bus or carpooling. If you’re planning on driving to the Rail Jam, here’s some helpful info.
To support parking in town, there will be FREE PARKING for 100 cars at the Man Street Carpark on Friday 29 May, from 3pm–10pm.

Simply park up, then head to the info tent at the Rail Jam to collect your parking pass before you leave.

Queenstown CBD's Ballarat Street carpark is temporarily closed from today to support the Snow Fest Downtown Rail Jam event set to be held in the carpark 5.00pm Friday 29 May.

The carpark will fully reopen around 3.00pm Saturday 30 May.

Snow Fest is Queenstown's free community celebration marking the start of the winter season. The event kicks off tomorrow and is presented by Coronet Peak and The Remarkables.

Everyone is invited to come along, enjoy the winter vibes, and celebrate the start of the ski season! ❄️
