So much kudos to Kerry for bringing more awareness to the seriousness of concussion! Our fundraiser last week was a huge success - thank you to everyone who came along & all the great businesses that donated prizes for the raffle!

The Iron Maidens raised over $500 to buy ice hockey helmets and avoid concussion.

Hope everyone's having a fun weekend! The Maidens face off against the 1876 Jets at 9pm, and then it's just two sleeps until our Concussion Awareness Fundraiser! We've scored some great additions to our raffle, including 2x VIP passes to the Winter Games Freeski Halfpipe Finals at Cardrona on Friday 1 September. So share the word around and get yourselves to the Memorial Hall on Tuesday evening!

One of the myths we're trying to bust through our awareness fundraiser is the idea that sustaining a concussion is really 'no big deal.' It's a serious issue that can be debilitating not only to someone's sports career, but their entire life, so come along and learn more about the condition on Tuesday evening at the Memorial Hall. As well as screening The Crash Reel, we're running a mean raffle! So get involved and tell your friends!
