🏆 CENTRAL OTAGO CHAMPIONS! 🏆

A huge day for our Queenstown Presidents Grade team, who have claimed the Central Otago title at Dunstan Golf Club in Clyde!

The morning semi-final against Wānaka went right down to the wire, with Queenstown securing a 3.5–2.5 victory to set up an afternoon final against Alexandra.

And they did it again! 💪

Another terrific team performance and another 3.5–2.5 win saw Queenstown crowned Central Otago Presidents Grade Champions and earn a place at the Otago Finals.

👏 Congratulations to Nigel, Slade, Peter, Corey, Matt and Adam — two matches, two wins and one very well-earned title.

A big shout-out also to all the players who have represented the Presidents team throughout the season. Every match and every point contributed to getting the team here.

🏆 Central Otago Champions. Next stop — the Otago Finals!

🐦 Plenty of birdies on the 11th today!

At Queenstown Golf Club, we’re proudly family friendly, and apparently you really can’t start golf too young.

These youngsters were out getting an early introduction to the game today. After all, developing your water-hazard skills can’t come soon enough. 😂🏌️‍♂️💦

No word yet on whether they played from the yellow tees or just took preferred lies.

28 & 29 November 2026. Two great days of golf, plenty of fun and, most importantly, raising funds for the Branches Trust

The Skyline Charity Golf Classic: For nearly five decades, this much-loved event has brought people together at Queenstown Golf Club, making it one of New Zealand’s longest-running sponsored golf events.

Since becoming a charity event in 2023, the Skyline Charity Golf Classic has raised more than $102,000 for local causes, including $46,000 for Lakes District Hospital Trust last year.

This year, we’re proud to support Branches Charitable Trust, helping future generations of local young people take on challenges, build lasting connections, and discover what they’re capable of.

🏌️Entries are now open and filling fast! If you’re a golfer, this is one of the highlights of the Queenstown golf calendar and a great chance to enjoy a day on the course while supporting an important cause. And if golf isn’t your thing, there’ll be plenty more opportunities to get involved and support Branches Trust over the coming weeks.

So, after the amount of rain we’ve had, it seemed only appropriate to consider returning to our roots.

🌧️ COURSE CLOSED 🌧️

Well… we wanted water coverage across the golf course.

Perhaps we should have been a little more specific. 🦆💦

With the amount of water currently sitting across the course, Queenstown Golf Club is CLOSED today.

On the bright side, our brand-new irrigation system might not be needed for a while! 😂

Too much… even for the ducks.

We’ll keep you updated as conditions improve. Please stay off the course in the meantime and give it every chance to drain and recover.

**Queenstown Golf Club is hiring for Summer 2026/27.**

We’re looking for **4 seasonal team members** to join us from **October 2026 to April 2027**, with a minimum of **30 hours per week**.

🌱 **2 x Greenkeeping Assistants**
Love working outdoors? Join our Course Team helping with mower operation, daily course set-up and general golf course maintenance.

⏰ Typically **6am–2pm**, rostered over 5 days.

⛳ **2 x Golf Operations Team Members**
A varied, customer-facing role welcoming golfers from around NZ and the world. Duties include customer service, phone enquiries, golf cart services, driving range services and general golf operations.

📅 Rostered over 5 days, including some weekend work.

**For all roles you’ll need:**
✓ A valid **NZ Work Visa**
✓ Your **own reliable transport**
✓ A positive attitude and willingness to be part of a great team
✓ Availability from **October 2026 to April 2027**

Previous experience is helpful, but for the right people, **attitude and reliability matter just as much.**

Queenstown Golf Club is looking for a friendly, energetic Café All Rounder to join our team for the summer through to April 2027.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys people, can roll up their sleeves and help wherever needed — from serving customers and preparing food and drinks to keeping things running smoothly when the café gets busy.

☕ Barista skills are a definite advantage!

What you need to know:
👉 Minimum 30 hours per week
👉 Roster will include at least one weekend day shift
👉 Own transport is essential
👉 You must have a current NZ work visa / right to work in New Zealand
👉 Café or hospitality experience would be great

You don't need to play golf — you just need to enjoy looking after people!
