Woo!! What a lovely morning for a swim! We had 10 swimmers in about 10° water. There wasn’t much sun and the water was calm and cold. We welcomed new friends from Canada and Belgium today and warmed up in the Scout hut after our swims. Next week we’ve a swim on Saturday at Frankton, then our winter solstice swim on Sunday at Queenstown beach. We’ve also got pool sessions on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, and our members chat group organises swims during the week 😊🏊‍♂️🏊 See you in the water! 📷:

Alpine Aqualand will be closed Sunday 28 June–5 July for our annual deep clean and maintenance. We’re back in action Monday 6 July.

Membership adjustments:

👉Prepaid + visit passes expiry extended

🏊‍♂️ Want to keep swimming? Your membership/pass works at Wānaka Recreation Centre during the closure.

Join our lovely bunch for a swim on Saturday! 9am at the Frankton swim lane. The water is getting colder and our hearts are getting warmer! Warm up in the Scout hut afterward. Reminder that we’ve our Winter solstice swim on Sunday 21st June, 7:30am at Queenstown beach. Also we’ve a members chat group where we arrange swims during the week too. See you in the water!

Celebrate the winter solstice with us in Queenstown at our annual winter solstice swim and dip.

Get ready to brace Queenstown’s fresh temperatures and watch the sun rise on the shortest day from the lake.

When: Sunday 21st June 2026, 7:30am meet for 8am in the water

Where: Queenstown Bay

What: Short swim (a few hundred metres, depends on the temperature!), or a quick dip – it’s up to you. Enjoy the sun rise and then join us for a hot beverage in a local cafe. All welcome.

Join and to kick off Snow Fest 2026 this Friday at 7:30am for their Polar Plunge 🥶 Our very own .ferns and Anneke will be chatting on before diving into Lake Whakatipu at 8am. Come along and join them. Registration is available on the day at Queenstown Lake Front. See you there!

What a morning for a swim! It was cold but sunny, and we had seven hardy swimmers and four hardy spectators enjoying the glorious morning! What a way to start the weekend 🥳

Strap in- long post incoming!! Well done to everyone who swam last week, we had a swim at the lane on Saturday and a bonus swim at Sunshine Bay on Sunday! Also big shout out to Megan who competed in the Legends relay the nationals, for former Olympic and Commonwealth games swimmers, coming in third with her Washing Machines team 🥳 This Saturday we’ve got our regular swim at the Frankton swim lane 9am with coffee in the Scout hut afterwards. The Scouts are having a sleepover in the Scout hut, so they will be there in the morning, but they should be sorted and away by 10am
