We're pumped for race day tomorrow! Heaps of groms out there lapping this afternoon and sending it already.

🏁 RACE RUN ORDER
Race run order comes off seeding results — riders will drop slowest to fastest, no matter age group or gender. Live timing will be available.

🏆SERIES OVERALL
Riders who've raced 2 of the 4 rounds in the series are eligible for the overall.

This one’s all about keeping riders safe and comfy — it’s not a World Cup, so no heroics required.

Every race in this series is the result of an awesome local club that has opened their doors (and tracks!) to us, and have agreed to be part of a bigger picture. 🙌 The proceeds from each event remain with the host club — meaning each time you race, you help support your local MTB scene!

We’ve pushed hard to make a replacement happen… but we have to be honest: we just can’t pull a race together to fill the Cardrona round. There are so many pieces that need to fall into place for an event to run, and right now they just aren’t landing the way they need to.

Most of you know the Southern DH Series runs purely on volunteer heart and whatever spare time we can scrape together - and sometimes real life just catches up with us. We’re gutted to fall short of the five-race series we aimed for, but this time the odds were stacked against us.

The good news? We’ve still got two epic races ahead. The NZ Open at Mt Hutt is coming up fast, and Coronet Peak — the final round of the series — is open for sign-ups now. Links in comments. If you’re keen to finish the season on a high, we’d love to have you there.

🚨 Southern DH Series Update 🚨

Bad news, crew — the Cardrona DH race is cancelled 😔

Right now, Cardrona have too much snow - it’s looking more like a winter ski setup than a summer bike park! We’re gutted to not have them host a round this year, but Mother Nature has played her cards.

We’re super keen to still bring you a five race series and are working hard in the background to try and pull an extra one together in the Queenstown Lakes district. Stay tuned, we’ll do our best and we’ll keep you posted🤞
