- it maybe timed but our winter event is more about a community of people who embrace something that’s a little less mainstream. It’s more about the stiff jawed post swim conversations and discussions on how 8 degrees didn’t feel so bad to begin with……

🎉 Join the the fun this week at Snow Fest 2026 with a proper wake-up call and join the Polar Plunge in Lake Whakatipu!
⛷ Dust off your best retro ski gear and take the plunge into Lake Whakatipu alongside a crew of equally brave (and boldly dressed) legends. Think neon, one-pieces, headbands - the louder, the better.
☕ After the dip, warm up with hot coffee, fresh pastries, and a few well-earned giveaways.
🗓 Date: Friday 29 May 2026

⏰ Time: Meet at 7:30am | Plunge at 8:00am

Thumbs up who's joining us 👍 July 11 we will be holding our fun, low key winter swim event in the heart of Queenstown. With snowmelt running from the mountains the water should be between 8-10 degrees and if we are lucky, a frosty 1 degree air temperature, though previously its been a very comfortable 10 degrees.
