Crunch match ahead this weekend as Manurewa take on Patumahoe

Manurewa and Patumahoe square off at Patumahoe on Saturday in what is shaping as a game that could well determine which of the two advances to the semi-finals of the McNamara Cup.

The two sides hold fourth and fifth on the table as it stands and are effectively in a race against each other to make the knockout stage.

Manurewa won the first round match-up at Mountfort Park but will need to get the better of their opponents in enemy territory to take control of the race.

Pukekohe High School is set to take on Manurewa High School this Saturday, 6 June in Round Robin clash that doubles as a Counties Manukau Secondary Schools 1st XV Boys Chiefs Top 4 Qualifying match.

Adding to the occasion, it’s been 11 years since these two sides last met in a SKY TV fixture at this same venue — and addition, Brandon Roberts returns as referee for this highly anticipated showdown.
