Hi team,
Unfortunately the decisions been made, I am shutting our gym down from group training gatherings until further notice, if you didn’t know, this is because of the virus that’s hit our shores. This is very hard and sad for me to do, but 100% necessary for the health and well being of all of us and our Nz community.
I have no idea how long for I’m sorry. But I will stay in touch.

I look forward to sending you all the good news message with the opening up date.
I can’t wait to see you all again, happy and healthy, and hear all your isolation stories 🤣

If any of you, or your families are struggling in these hard times feel free to message, or call me, and I will try my upmost best to help in anyway I can.

Tony and City Lee Gar, thank you, for having our little gym on your show. And what an awesome show it was! Great match ups and fights, and a cool main event to top it off! We’d love to see Slava and Hayden go at it again any day!
To our opponents, the respect you and your gyms show against us is really awesome! And that’s what martial arts is about!
Mr Mike, hold your head up my friend, you made it no easy task in there against our boy Jared. Your over hand right was on the money. Respect to you and your coach, my brother Niueli Rod MacSwain for the fun battle.
Miss Jeeta and your coach Tony...
I’m An honest coach, and I personally had no idea who had won the fight against our girl Kellen!
It was a great fight from our corner to watch, the crowd really loved it, and both of you threw down like true champions that you are, right to the very end bell!
It’s nothing better than seeing two legit title contenders fighting for a belt!
Keep your head up Jeeta! Could have gone either way my friend!
Thank you to our gym and especially Jared, Quinton, Shaun, Devan, Kellen, and Vicky, for the help running the classes and keeping the gym together while I turn my attention to the fighters, especially the last few days leading up to the fights, it’s not possible with out you!
Our corner team for the night, Devan and Quinton, thank you for the help before, after, and at the bar later on till the early hours of Sunday! Haha 😂
Thank you to all the supporters, friends and family, that came up to support our two fighters. We could hear you loud and clear, and we hope you enjoyed both Jared and Kellen’s entrance music as much as we, the corner crew did!

And that’s all the hard work completed for these two individuals.
After weeks of hard training, avoiding injuries, healing injuries, juggling work, taking classes, missing out on social events with friends and family, living and working with sore muscles everywhere and in new places! Then this last week, the dreaded weight cut week, ending today with a good old HOT sauna to remove the last stubborn kilos. There’s no quicker way to dislike another person than having somebody (Coach Doug) standing at the sauna door with a stop watch telling you, you can’t come out yet. All the while he’s on the outside looking in, drinking an ice cold coconut water to refresh’s himself 😳 😂
So now it’s the fun part. They both step into the ring tomorrow night, to see if they can remember and execute their game plans!
All the while with another evenly matched athlete trying to disrupt and modify their faces!
Good luck to you both Jared, and Kellen.

Next fights lined up for team Dynamite:
On the 30th November, Art of war promoted by the great City Leegar gym! We have two of our trainers entertaining us by stepping into the ring that night, Jared fighting a full thai rules fight. And Kellen, full thai rules, and a 5 rounder fighting for the NZMF North Island junior feather weight title. This is looking to be a great show, and a big one, it’s in the city, at the YMCA. Great venue.

Hey ladies if your a little shy to step in to our busy general mixed classes, then why not grab your water bottle and towel and try out our female only class, with our friendly yet deadly female fighter Kellen.
She most probably has more experience in the ring then your local bla bla fitness instructor 🤣
Every Tuesday, 6-7pm.
It’s a good place to learn some real life skills, or get that summer body back on track, or let some steam off, and meet some new friends.

From coach and everyone at Dynamite Thai Boxing and MMA, we take our hats off to you Devan, with only 3f to your name and stepping on to the big stage of cameras and bright lights, you put on a show on Friday night against another good c**t and tough young fighter, well done on the win Hayellom.
You know it’s a good fight when something breaks.
The respect you both show each other, and opponents gyms and coaches before and after the fight, is what martial arts is all about! Both your futures are looking bright.

Thanks agains Arna and Jason for the opportunity for the world to see how good our young talent is.

Thanks Ethan Knees Of Fury for having our team Dynamite on your show again!
Not many shows here in NZ you get to walk out getting toasted by the cat walk flames 🔥
It adds to the excitement! Haha.
We had Quinton, one of our Day 1 brothers throwing down in the ring, his first fight in over 365 days +, and weirdly first time with no injuries! Tough tough man is our Quinton Beatty, the last min change to the softer K1 rules didn’t suit our thai training camp this time around.
Good fight to watch either way. Let’s do this fight full thai rules next time 😈
And Young Shaun put his hand up for the second time in two weeks for some ring time, against a tough guy from our neighbouring Huntly kick boxing gym. Was a really cool fight to watch, both these boys went to war.
Well done Shaun Passau on the win. You’ve been battling usually heavier or more experienced fighters for many fights now, but your mindset to keep training and never shy away because of close losses shows a champion in the making.
Enjoy your rest both you guys.
Thanks to our opponents for sharing the ring with our boys. It takes a lot to step over those ropes, to entertain hundreds of people, knowing very well that a trip to the hospital for the weekend is highly possible.
