This short film "Butters - Skip the gym & go digging" documents the trail crew experiences building this trail, located in the top of the South Island, Nelson, New Zealand. This trail has been named and built-in memory of Bernard “Butters” Simmons.

The Trail was co-funded by Santa Cruz Bicycles Pay Dirt fund and Nelson City Council. Special thanks goes to Nelson Mountain bike Club and Ngati Koata trust

After a long and very patient wait,

We are very happy to announce our Opening Day!

We would love for you to come out and enjoy our brand new asphalt pump-track, all together.

Our Opening Day is 22nd of May (Next Saturday).
At 1:30 pm

We would love you to bring your :
- Bikes
- Scooters
- Skateboards

As our new Pump-track has been catered for any age and ability.

There will be a sausage sizzle and an official opening ceremony. Then everyone can shred and have fun!

Darkside MTB Tour - Progressive Skills Camp

Darkside MTB Tour, for grade 3+ MTBers who want to progress to the next level. Coaching sessions and riding on Nelson's iconic trails.

Get your summer season off to a cracking start. Want to ride the Nelson progressive steep trails but feel you don't quite have the confidence/skillset quite yet? This camp aims to set you up to ride the progressive and steep trails at Wairoa Gorge Bike Park and Nelson trails Leading up to this we will be running skill sessions at Cable bay Adventure Park and Kaiteriteri MTB Park.

The Adventure South team are stoked to have put together this cracking group of instructors and MTB pros and selected some rad local Nelson bike parks/trails to progress your skills at your own pace. Our core instructors are Damian Stones and Rod Bardsley who bring a wealth of knowledge to this camp. We are also stoked that world enduro specialist Rae Morrison will be coming along to share her tips on riding steep trails Kaiteriteri Mtb Park. Finally, 2 days riding at Wairoa Gorge with Jamie Nicoll Adventures on his home town trails yeeow.
