Congrats to our Paremata Plimmerton Rugby Football Club Pressies playing in the Wellington Rugby Presidents XV taking on Manawatu Presidents and coming away with a 27 - 10 win.

We've still got one team out there, and it's ride or die for the Punters as they take on the Johnsonville Cripples at Hell Park for a place in the playoffs next week.

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of our former captain, Mike Lovett.

Mike was more than just our captain for several years after he moved up from the Punters; he was the embodiment of our team and club's spirit. A tough bu**er on the field who led by example, he played with an unwavering determination that inspired us all. Yet, off the field, he had the biggest heart, a true gentleman, and a great mate to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Mike's dedication extended far beyond the game. He was a truly great club man, instrumental in the extensive renovation of our clubrooms, pouring his time and energy into creating the home we all enjoy today. His legacy is etched forever in our club's history.

Our deepest sympathies, thoughts, and aroha go out to Mike's family and friends during this incredibly difficult time.

We will forever cherish the memories, the battles fought, and the laughter shared with Mike. His spirit will live on in every game we play and every gathering in the clubrooms he helped transform.

Rest in peace Skip. You will be often missed and never forgotten.
