Next block of 10 classes starts on the 4th of September 2012. Our classes cater to anyone wanting to strengthen, stretch and relax! We combine distinct pilates and yoga components as we want to provide you with the opportunity to experience pilates and yoga as separate disciplines. No experience of yoga or pilates is required as we tailor our classes to your ability and experience. In particular t
hese classes are beneficial if you are recovering from an injury or want to protect your back and tone your tummy! Our classes are also designed with expectant and new mothers in mind. We both have young children and know first hand the enormous changes a woman's body goes through during and after pregnancy. We want to help woman support their bodies in returning to 'normal'. About Us:
Nikki Wheeler - Registered Physiotherapist and Clinical Pilates Instructor. I have lived and worked in Wellington and Porirua over the last 7 years, interrupted only by a year and a half stint of volunteering in Tanzania, East Africa where I set up a Physiotherapy Clinic and more recently, to have a baby! I completed a Yoga Alliance approved 200 hours teacher training in 2003 and also undertook further teacher training while working at Te Aro Astanga Yoga in Wellington from 2004 - 2005. Over the last 9 years I have taught in Dunedin, Wellington and London. I teach both astanga and hatha yoga and I always aim to balance strength with flexibility, and effort with relaxation.
